Far Cry 2(PC): What a beautiful game. I’ll skip all the things that you can read in a million other places on the net, and give you what I konw/think. respawning enemies at checkpoint can get annoying, and it follows the “Mercenaries” formula. Go here, kill person x/destroy object Y. But It’s still fun to play. People more knowledgeable than I have voiced complaints about lack of reality in the weapons, specifically, why dose an AK hit harder than a .308? My biggest gripe is not being able to replace my rocket launcher with a sniper rifle. They are about the same size, and the rifle is probably lighter, so why must I only put ’special’ weapons in that spot? In their efforts for realism, they failed in that respect. But It’s still fun to play, and absolutely amazing to look at.
Fable 2(360): It’s Fable with a facelift and a dog. It’s fun, and the world is beautiful but sadly constrained. There’s not a whole lot of innovation, but the gameplay works well and the story is interesting. The best part is that it’s a game that interests Sarai, if only as an observer. We play it together, in that she helps me choose what to do next, and is a great set of extra eyes.
Gears of War 2(360): I haven’t played as much of this yet, but so far it’s more of the same. Nothing new, nothing special. And I’m not terribly interested in the story yet. I hope to get into the online Multiplayer, and also some Co-op. This means I’ll need some friends on xbox live, so if you’re interested, look me up. gamertag: ‘photostyle777′ -Out.

Home. The trip back was long, and I spent at least 15 hours in the air. I
got to the local airport at around 12:30 PM on Thursday, but I needed to get
some things taken care of at work first, so we decided Sarai would just wait
at home for me. That way she didn't have to get dragged around. I fainlly
got to the house around 3:30, and all was well in the world.
For those who care, we've had plenty of fun. We Saw Igor at the theater on
base, and then Madagascar 2 in town after a nice meal at China Garden. We've
picked up the Xbox 360 Elite and 4 more games, making the total 5.
Mercenaries 2, Gears of War 2, Fable 2, PGR 4, and Chromehounds. I also got
Far Cry 2 for PC. I'll talk about all of those some other day. We got
Sarai's computer gutted and re-stuffed on Saturday, and the OS and all her
settings have been loaded. I'm sure she'll tell you all about how much
faster it is at some point. :)
As for me, I'm so glad to be home. I have my lover, my kitties, our big
comfy bed, my 'puter, and games. I've got a ton of time off, and we may have
trouble not getting bored! -Out.

Here's me, waiting patiently to go home. I'll be leaving here tonight, and after a few hops and overnights, I should be arriving at home on thrusday. I've got Sarai on the webcam right now, and all my stuff packed away. There's not much more to say, I just look forward to curling up with my lover and a kitty or two. Nummy non-chowhall food, and a most comfy bed. I'll probably be offline until I get home, but there's always the chance I'll find a connection on the way. -Out.

it will be mine!!! -Out.

efx2blogs.com seems to be back online! save what you can, while you can :)
I be here: http://photostyle.efx2blogs.info/
for now, the site has only rss based subscribing, so i recommend a good
reader, like the one google makes :)
I watched the movie "Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0165798/ )" on Sunday. I liked the periodic
references to the texts, and the general attitude of it all. (When was the
last time you saw an old white mobster spoutin Flava-Flav lyrics in his
bathrobe?) Moreso, I enjoyed the music. There's something about the
combination of traditional oriental music and modern hip-hop beats and
rythms. The music for the movie is handled mostly by RZA, who have also done
tracks for the Blade series.
Lacking any RZA tracks, I do have some DJ Krush that is in a similar spirit,
like Interlude from the Kakusei album. Other nice mellow tracks include
Intro, 1200, and Escapee. Also, Floot by Wagon Christ is a good tune. -Out.

"*Pardon Me*" I said, to the pidgeon drinking from the sidewalk puddle. I
did my best to give her room, but the wall kept me too close, and she had to
fly off for a moment. While crossing the bridge, I saw another bird hovering
over above the water, neck bent downwards, peering into the depths. Before I
could get my camcorder out, it suddenly dove down, and emerged having
snapped up something small. It flew off low over the water, having made my
morning. -Out.
